Geotechnical
Solutions for Practical
Design

SoilWorks provides total solutions to geotechnical-structural problems related to the practical design of Tunnels, Slopes, Rock Slope with Stereo-Graphic Analysis, Soft Ground, Foundations, Excavations, Seepage and dynamic analysis. The user-friendly and practice-friendly work environment allows the geotechnical and structural engineers to produce highly reliable results in conjunction with rational design and high quality deliverables.
Unlike commonly available existing software, SoilWorks provides the groundbreaking concept of modeling, analysis, compilation and presentation of results and report generation using the latest technology in software development for the practicing engineers. The engineers will benefit from being able to analyze various cases simultaneously, check design errors and escape from repetitive tasks in the design process.

The assigning of boundary conditions is required for every finite element analysis project. Manually assigning boundaries can be especially time consuming for projects that contain both complex geometry and very fine mesh sets since they create more nodes that need to be assigned boundaries.

The Smart Support feature overcomes these complications by enabling you to automatically assign all of the boundary conditions within seconds. All you need to do is simply select the Smart Support icon and all of your boundary conditions will be generated automatically regardless of the complexities of your project model

The slope module is capable of performing parametric multiple analysis types. Conventional limit equilibrium analysis as well as detailed strength reduction analysis can be done simultaneously. This is useful for projects that would benefit from having the limit equilibrium method to calculate the minimum safety factor with the limit equilibrium method but also need to the strength reduction method to analyze soil structure interaction for support and foundation structures.

The couple analysis features enables you transfer model and result data between modules. At any time you may choose to switch modules and your model data will be transferred to the module selected. To import results, the programs has a command function that enables you to extract results from a specific file. Once those results are imported, you may apply them to the analysis case.

For example, you can perform a seepage analysis that calculates the changes of pore pressure over several rainfall stages. Afterwards, you can import the original project drawing and water pressure loads directly into the slope module. The water pressure loads can then be applied so that the program will be able to take both dry and rainy weather conditions into account when performing the slope stability analysis. The same process can be implemented with the seepage and ground modules to design for the effects of shifting ground stresses due to rainfall for tunneling and staged excavation projects.

Another application includes the use of the slope module in coupled analysis with the ground module to compute the changing factors of safety for a slope that is being progressively altered over several phases of construction.
