E-Lasts can be imported directly in digital form and, where necessary, modified by the program to meet the design concept. 2D sketches can also be imported as scans, and the program can interface directly with conventional graphics packages like Adobe PhotoShop. The 2D design can then be traced directly onto the last, and then units, colours and textures added to create a true 3D version of the design.
