The Contingency Analysis module in PSS®SINCAL enables the creation, management, and simulation of contingencies, remedial actions, and operational sequences. The module has been completely revised in close cooperation with the user group to address the workflows for network and operational planning in a generic and flexible way. Key features are the auto-creation and manual configuration of contingencies and sequences, multicore calculation, contingency or equipment-specific result views synchronized with the network graphic, and interfaces supporting integration in automated tooling landscapes.

The Optimal Branching module in PSS®SINCAL enables an automated separation point search for each meshed network structure into radial networks with the target function minimum losses. Limit values for equipment utilization and the voltage band are considered. The module has been fundamentally revised and offers a new algorithm for the separation point search, support for multicore calculation, a new user interface, and new options for saving and evaluating results.

The new default color scheme of PSS®SINCAL and the new configuration possibilities for the user wherever colors are used in the graphical user interface are released. This introduces a new default color palette supporting content accessibility guidelines, separate evaluation and feedback color sets depending on the semantics of the data presented and offers full configuration settings of the color scheme by users to meet their specific or corporate design coloring requirements.
