QUE$TOR 2022 Q3 Release Notes

General upgrades in QUE$TOR 2022 Q3 In response to user feedback the following features have been implemented in QUE$TOR 2022 Q3.
Updates to the greenhouse gas emissions report
Marine transport of offshore wind farm components

Updates to the greenhouse gas emissions report
The greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions report, accessible from the Project menu, now includes venting emissions for production and
surface processing, and a dedicated emissions factors section. All the emissions are now reported in tonnes of CO
2 equivalent and the
emissions intensity in kilograms of CO
2 equivalent per barrel of oil equivalent.

Production and surface processing venting emissions
Production and surface processing venting emissions are estimated for acid gas removal units and dehydration units on Topsides and
Production facilities. Also included are flash tank losses from storage tanks for dry oil tanks on Topsides, and storage tanks on Production
facilities, Terminals, Tankers, Cylindrical hulls, Offshore loading, Barges and GBS.
Vented emissions from the acid gas removal units are estimated based on the exit stream flow of the reboiler vent (stream 3 in gas
processing), representing the residual methane and carbon dioxide quantities that are not combusted in the flare burning process.

Marine transport of offshore wind farm components
Marine transport of offshore wind turbines (tower, rotor, and nacelle) and floating substructures (spar, semi-sub) from their fabrication site
to the assembly site is a challenging process. The increasing size of wind turbines has recently focused the attention on the technical
limitations of transportation and installation vessels. Our approach has been to consider the most common practice in the industry, but it is
worth pointing out that each project has its own specific parametersand often requires its own optimal solution.
Marine transport costs can be a significant part of the total installation costs of offshore wind farms. A new Marine transport tab (Figure 1) has
been added to allow the selection of the major parameters used to estimate the marine transport costs.
