GH Bladed is the software package allowing users to carry out performance and loading calculations for the design and certification of wind turbines, both on and offshore. The program has been extensively validated against measured data from a wide range of turbines
The main toolbar gives access to data entry screens which allow the various turbine components to be defined, including:
• Rotor
• Blades
• Drive Train
• Generator & Electrical
• Control
• Tower & Nacelle
The overall configuration of the rotor and hub can be defined, including:

• Tilt and cone angles.

• 1, 2 or 3 blades.

• Fixed or teetered hub.

• Upwind or downwind orientation.

• Clockwise or anticlockwise rotation.

• Rotor mass, geometric and pitch imbalances.
