FactSage 8.4 is the latest major release of the industry-leading integrated thermochemical software and database package developed by Thermfact/CRCT (Montreal) and GTT-Technologies (Aachen). This powerful tool computes complex multiphase equilibria, phase diagrams, thermodynamic properties, and process simulations in materials science, metallurgy, ceramics, geochemistry, and chemical engineering. With extensive database expansions, new process simulation add-ons, and user-friendly enhancements, FactSage 8.4 supports accurate predictions for high-temperature systems, alloy design, slag modeling, ionic organics, and more—enabling researchers, engineers, and educators to optimize materials processing and reduce experimental costs.

• New Process Simulation Add-ons: FactFlow for rapid graphical design, analysis, and optimization of process flowsheets; FactProSim for local-equilibrium simulations using the EERZ approach with seamless Excel integration—ideal for steelmaking, refining, and industrial processes (not available in network client installations).
• Industrial Alloy Integration in Equilib: Directly select and define real-world industrial alloy grades (e.g., aluminum, copper, magnesium) in the Reactants Window for realistic composition-based calculations.
