Trimble announces the release of the main version 10 for UASMaster. This release includes technical improvements, new features and tools as well as variety of bug fixes. What’s new in the Main Release UASMaster 10?Higher performance in camera calibrationConsidering the rapid growth of UAS market and implementation of new sensors with less known parameters for the orientation, more performance is required in camera calibration, especially for large projects. UASMaster 10 offers the advantages of adjustmentwith camera calibration with significantly improvedperformance by reducing the number of iterations in calibrationprocess.Smart detection of matching strategy for better performance in 3D reconstructionUsing the “Exhaustive”matching strategy, each image is tried to be matched to all possible and available images in the block. In UASMaster 10 thenew and smart matching strategy,“AutoDetect”in Pair-builder mode,involves the neighboring images that are selected automatically based on GPS and IMU observations. This leads to efficient matching of large projects.Furthermore, the users can benefit from the “Contiguous” option as well, if the image IDs correspond to the acquisition order.Improved quality in point cloud and meshesDue to the improvements in 3D reconstruction, the quality of final products (e.g. point clouds and meshes) are considerably higher than the former versions. The point clouds are ready to be used in Trimble Clarity.
