The datastore function enables you to easily and efficiently format and import data into your desktop from files – and collections of files – that don’t fit into memory. mapreduce is a programming technique that lets you analyze data sets that do not fit into your computer's memory. These capabilities also scale for use in processing data on Hadoop.

Integration with the popular Git and Subversion source control systems helps keep your code under control, making it easier to build and share custom MATLAB toolboxes.
